Pastors John and Angela Butcher

John & Angela have been leading the church together since 2002. Married for 30 years, they have two grown up sons, Phillip and Nathan . Together they led Hampden Chapel in Hackney for 13 years before moving to Birmingham.

Born in Rotherham, John was a manager with the Ford Motor Company before graduating from Mattersey Hall theological college. He is involved regionally and nationally with Assemblies of God, serves on the leadership of the Evangelical Alliance and is Police Chaplain for the Sutton Coldfield Operational Command Unit.

Angela hails from Shirebrook in Derbyshire and is also a qualified teacher. She is Central Region’s Children’s Director, a member of the Regional Business Committee and a Director of Assemblies of God’s Property Trust.

Bernard Taylor, Elder and Church Council Member

Bernard is a talented musician and anointed worship leader. As well as being a music teacher, he is the founder of worship group “La Jira Praise”, and is involved in a visiting prison ministry.

Deborah Fatile, Elder and Church Council Member

A former nurse and health visitor, Deborah is married with three adult children. Deborah is passionate in her praying and a natural carer.

Ian Brayshaw, Elder and Church Council Member

Ian is married to Hillary and is currently a school teacher. A natural communicator, he is a gifted preacher with several years’ pastoral experience.
